Im planning on buying replacements for all the speakers and eventually some nice subs and an amp.

I dont know much about stereo systems, im planning on buying the parts on ebay and getting a freind to help me hook it up. Any suggestions on models i should use is greatly appreciated!

Ok dude here it is!!! You need to go to crutchfeild.com and sighn up. on this site you can tell them what kind of car you have and virtually build your system and specialist are on stand by to help with and problems you can think of!!! Also they give you free wiring and instruction kits with anything you order. So you and your home-boy have fun and I would appreciate it if you would give me a best answer for this question. Peace!!!!!

What speakers, amp and subwoofer would be good for my car?

Posted by admin on July 26th, 2010 and filed under speakers | 2 Comments »

I have all stock speakers and stereo at the moment, but bought a Jensen MPA6611X head unit for my 2002 Mercury Sable that I haven’t installed yet. I don’t know what speaker sizes, watts or amps to get. The head unit I haven’t installed yet is 240 watts. I want something good, but doesn’t have to be the best. Just something that will sound really good at a reasonable price.

It all depends on budget and how much time you want to put in. The hu says 240 but thats probably peak, rms is what you look for in any audio, and on that hu its probably 120, thats only 30 watts per channel. If your car has component speakers (2 separate per door, 1 midrange, 1 tweeter, then it will take a good deal of money to get better quality. Alot of car installs that already have components will take multiple things to clearly surpass them in quality, these include, sound deadening, amplification, wiring kits, new speakers. Most people that already have good front stages in cars in my opinion should just go with upgrading their substage, which includes purchasing an amp and wiring kit, then a sub/enclosure.

What kind of speakers do I need to replace my Infinity speakers in my Dodge Caravan?

Posted by admin on July 23rd, 2010 and filed under speakers | 2 Comments »

I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport with an Infinity sound system. The front left speakers on the dash board, and on the door are blown. What kind of speakers do I have to get to replace them? This is an amplified system.

YOU CAN USE PIONEER SPEAKERS THEY WILL NOT SOUND THE AS GOOD AS THE INFINITY SPEAKERS. INFINITY SPEAKERS ARE MATCHED TO THE RADIO. AS FAR AS BEING AMPLIFIED THE RADIO IS NOT PUTTING OUT THAT MUCH POWER.

How come my speakers with subwoofer only work for some music online?

Posted by admin on July 20th, 2010 and filed under speakers | 2 Comments »

I have 4 speakers and a subwoofer hooked up to my computer. When I play some music online like from yahoo videos or aol videos, there are only a couple songs that actually come through the speakers. Why is this? All the other songs go through the monitor speaker. And it sounds terrible. Does it have anything to do with the song itself or the feed thats coming from these sites? I need to feel the vibration!

do you have flash player installed on your computer

if you dont then you could go here

What size factory speakers come in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado single cab truck? I have blown my speakers and want to buy some new ones to replace them. I can’t find my book that came with the truck and have been unable to find the info online. I just need to know what size they are. I am guessing to sets of 4X6 speakers but am not sure. Can anyone find the specs online?

check www.crutchfield.com if you go to car speakers and select your truck it will say what fits and where.
