What is the best surround sound gaming headset for PC?

I currently have a Turtle Beach HPA2 and it has had issue after issue. It is time to move on from this headset. From what I can tell the best headsets are the Plantronics 777, Sennheiser 350, Logitech G35, Razer Megalodon, Medusa, and Creative Headsets. I would prefer to have a true surround sound headset and not just virtual surround sound. If you have other suggestions to look at please let me know or let me know which of these to chose from.

I would recommend either the Speedlink Medusa NX or the Tritton AX Pro 5.1.

Both of these models have great 5.1 sound quality as well as excellent microphones. The Medusa NX is not as expensive as the Tritton AX Pro 5.1, but it also does not have as many other features and connection options. Both have a USB connection as well.

How to set up surround sound speakers to a TV?

Hey everyone, I purchased a DVD player with surround sound speakers. I was wondering if it is possible to set up the speakers to only the TV so cable television has surround sound and not just the DVD player. I know how to connect it to my Xbox 360 but I was just wondering if it’s possible with the TV.

Connect optical cable from HD cable box or composite cables ( red & white ) from cable box or TV to sound system for audio.

How to get surround sound using internet radio?

I have a logitech 5.1 surround sound system, it works good with like WMP or any Desktop music player, but with like pandora, yahoo music etc. it only puts sound through the two main speakers and sub, how do i get full surround using internet radio programs?

I don’t believe any of them send a surround signal and even if they did it wouldn’t be the best quality compared to an in-home source like a DVD or CD. Internet radio has come a long way but I don’t think they’ve made it to that level yet.

I know it puts out up to 7.1 surround sound from an HDMI lead, but if I buy a DVD player/amp combined with cinema surround sound in it, will it have an HDMI input to connect the PS3 to, or would I have to buy an external amp that could inputs from 2 or 3 external sources? I am considering doing away with my DVD player and using the PS3 as a ‘do it all’.

You do not need to use an HDMI cable to get DD or DTS from a PS3. you will, however, need an optical digital cable and a surround receiver with an optical input (most do). Most DVD surround combos do not have digital inputs and very few even have an HDMI output (for HDTV).The PS3 is an excellent choice for the centerpiece of a home theater system because it not only up-converts standard DVDs to 1080p, but is also a fine Bluray player. You’ve got a very nice game console/Bluray player, don’t cheap out now and just get a Home Theater In a Box…

Ok well i just got a sony DAV-170 surround sound system. I cant get the surround sound to come in with the my TV or my xbox 360. Now i have and HDMI cable going from my xbox to the TV for the picture and then i got a audio coax cable to run from my TV to to the surround sound but only the sub and the from speakers are working. Is it because i shoulkd have another HDMI cable going from the TV to the surround sound?

Connect optical cable directly from Xbox to sound system for surround sound if your sound system has one.

I have an HDTV and im looking for an affordable surround sound that wont leave wires running all over my living room. Are there any affordable 5.1 channel surround sounds that would be good for maybe a 10′ by 10′ living room, with wireless rear speakers?

I’ve researched and just can’t decide.

I have one made by Samsung 1000w and it kicks ass. Sorry I can’t remember the model though. But well worth the $400 it was a couple of years ago. Prolly pretty cheap now.
