i think for a gaming setup, 2.1 is the best way to go, especially if you live in apartment, my set up is in my bedroom, and i think 5.1 is overkill, i got the logitech 2.1, speakers on each side of tv, and sub on the floor, there is really no need to have 3 more in the back.
