The second step of the tennis forehand is to take your tennis racket back and extend your other, non-hitting, arm across your body. Having completed the pivot and shoulder turn, now you can use your hitting arm to take the tennis racket all the way back. At the same time, extend your other, non-hitting, arm across your body for balance and judgment of the tennis ball.

You can just keep it waist high. My coach told me to “point at the ball” with my non-hitting arm.

Critic aren’t meant to be shut down, nor stay unheard. Doubt is the foundamental principle of the reflection process and is based upon the seek for a better answer. And, if it is used to suit the need of an appropriate answer, it is necessarily useful and shutting them down, even if they don’t express it well, won’t make their comments any lesser or more true.

Critic the reflections, not who makes them.

He takes the non-hitting arm back shoulder high.

What is the reason for taking it back shoulder high? Is it OK to take it back lower (around waist high)?

The contact point is usually waist high, so why is the take-back shoulder high?
